ABOUT BELCARRA, BC

The small and quiet neighbourhood of Belcarra is situated along the shoreline of Indian Arm and Bedwell Bay. This stunning neighbourhood features many luxury waterfront homes resting along the bluffs with stunning views.

Belcarra has many outdoor amenities that are well loved by locals and day visitors. It is home to White Pine Beach, Sasamat Outdoor Centre, Belcarra Regional Park, and Jug Island Trail. White Pine Beach is on Sasamat Lake, it’s large sandy beach and warm water makes it a popular destination in the summer. White Pine Beach also features a small concession stand that sells refreshments, ice cream and snacks. Due to White Pine’s popularity throughout Port Moody and Metro Vancouver, be sure to arrive early to get parking and a spot on the beach. Sasamat Outdoor Centre is located on the opposite side of White Pine Beach, Sasamat Outdoor Centre offers summer camps, outdoor learning, leadership programs and rentals- including their picturesque wedding venue. Belcarra Regional Park is a wonderful spot to visit for a day of fun, it includes a number of trails, sheltered picnic areas for rent, canoe and kayak rentals and a pier for fishing/crabbing enthusiasts. Jug Island Trail is a 5.5 km scenic hiking trail in Port Moody’s Belcarra neighbourhood. The dog-friendly trail guides you through the forest and ends at Jug Island Beach which is located at the tip of Belcarra.

Belcarra residents are heavily reliant on a vehicle for running errands and dropping children off at school.  Anmore Elementary is located approximately 10 minutes away from Belcarra. Newport Village and Suter Brook Village which include grocers, restaurants, gyms, and cafés are approximately 15-20 minutes away.

BELCARRA ACTIVITIES

Residents of Belcarra live within close proximity to numerous hiking, walking and biking trails as well as White Pine Beach and Belcarra Regional Park. Residents of Belcarra are less than fifteen minutes away from Port Moody Recreation Complex, Port Moody Public Library and Newport Village. Newport Village offers great options for grocery shopping, coffee shops, restaurants, beauty salons, banking and much more.

BELCARRA TRANSIT

TransLink offers one main bus route throughout Belcarra with several stops throughout the neighbourhood. The bus can take you throughout Port Moody and ends at Moody Centre Station which includes West Coast Express and Skytrain service to Coquitlam, Burnaby, New Westminster, and Vancouver.
